New Years RetreatBetween Christmas and New Years we held our annual student retreat. This year the conference was held in Frankfurt and in conjunction with the national youth department of our church. Over 400 students and youth were in attendance from over 30 different churches and SfC groups across Germany. The retreat was packed full of powerful worship, preaching, praying, workshops, seminars, games, small groups, a New Years buffet and a lot of fun. One afternoon we took over 300 young people into downtown Frankfurt for a time of open-air evangelism. For over an hour the young people shared testimonies, performed skits, boldly open air preached, sang and danced and witnessed to the shoppers in the pedestrian zone. Over the course of the five day retreat, dozens of students made new commitments and were filled with the Spirit. Amy and I prayed with a young lady on New Year’s Eve who gave her life to Christ. God is doing great things in Germany!
