| Amy was also born in Michigan and sensed a calling to ministry at a very young age. She graduated with degree in English and Speech Education, in 1998. She was an active student leader in the Chi Alpha group, leading worship, discipling women and doing evangelism in the dorms.
After graduation, Kirk moved to Louisiana to do an internship with Chi Alpha. God opened the door for a full-time position as Chaplain at LSU in Baton Rouge, where he re-pioneered the ministry in 1997. Kirk and Amy maintained a long distance relationship and were eventually married in Dec. of 1998. They have a little girl named Mercy Claire born March 5, 2001 and a son, Jackson Scott, born July 12, 2004.
The call of God brought them to Berlin end of 2002 where they pioneered a new student group under the banner of Studenten für Christus. In 2004 they helped plant a church reaching young people. Also in 2004 they took on the role of "Regional Leaders" for eastern Germany providing pastoral care to student groups across former East Germany.
Together they have ministered to thousands of students from over fifty different nations. Their ministry is hallmarked by worship, evangelism, cell groups and café ministry. They have a passion for reaching today's generation of students in Germany.
